Medicomp has a great full benefits package!

I'm looking for an ECG (EKG) interpreter, for our Melbourne, FL home office, who is excited about having the front line responsibility of triaging the patients who have our life-saving products prescribed to them. That's right, I said Life-saving! This is only going to happen one way you have to have a solid work ethic and be able to focus on the clinically significant signs and symptoms of one or more patients while in a noisy environment that is full of interruptions.

  • Receiving ambulatory ECG (EKG) data from phone and web transmissions
  • Making the correct arrhythmia call, not just knowing where to place the electrodes
  • Phone interaction with cardiac patients for the majority of your shift
  • Using proprietary software to efficiently compose arrhythmia reports for physicians
  • Acquire and/or retain clinical certifications
  • Identify areas for process improvement and cost savings

Great customer service and phone skills are key and folks that let work pile up for others need not apply. You will be looking for an arrhythmia needle in a giant haystack of ECGs. Our 24/7/365 facility expects some overtime, but we are flexible. You will repeatedly prove that challenges once thought of as impossible will quickly turn to impressive victories, and we are a company that celebrates those victories. You are attentive to details, stay out of rumor mills, are flexible with tasks, and most importantly - passionate about helping patients.

Medicomp is a small, successful, profitable and growing medical monitoring company with a rich history of innovation and superior technology. We helped over 100,000 patients last year in over 40 states and 12 countries and have multiplied our business by 5 times over the last 10 years. We operate 24/7/365 in Melbourne, FL, San Francisco, CA and Burtonsville, MD. We pride ourselves in accomplishing what others consider impossible.

Job requirements: This job won't be for just anyone... You must have:

  • High School Diploma
  • Successful completion of a basic ECG course
  • Ability to interpret ECG (EKG) rhythm strips without any assistance
  • A minimum of one year experience in healthcare
  • Eligible to be hired in a healthcare facility
  • Certified Cardiovascular Technician (CCT), EMT-B or EMT-P. If you are a rock star and have the ability to pass the CCT test within 60 days of hire we will also consider you for hire.
  • Clear communication skills fluency in Spanish is a plus
  • Basic computer and typing skills

The starting wage will be commensurate with your experience and location.

We have great benefits and a generous PTO plan that includes, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance, 10 paid holidays, paid vacation (three weeks in your first full year) and sick time.

How to Apply:

  • Please include your Word resume, a cover letter, and include links to any of your online profiles.
  • All responses are held in the strictest confidence and employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.

Medicomp is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
